Accessibility and usability

At Lotura we stand out for being one of the first companies to apply accessibility regulations to our web projects and applications. Our goal is to offer visual designs that meet standards of accessibility and usability without losing the edge, innovation and art of a careful design. Accessibility is not incompatible with quality web design.

That is why we propose accessible and usable design from the start of the project, agreeing this with the client and extending it throughout the entire development process.

Before starting to programme the site we ensure that the design meets:

  • Accessibility standards.
  • User-friendly navigation.
  • Graphic communication adapted to the client.
  • Adapted to browsers and mobile devices.

Web development for Mobiles

We develop web projects adapted to any mobile device and we collaborate to develop applications for Android mobiles and iPhones in projects that require a specific solution.

The present of the Internet is mobile; it’s unthinkable to develop websites only for computers. Nowadays the number of mobile devices, PDAs, smart phones and tablets is rapidly increasing. At Lotura we develop websites that can be used regardless of the device used.

GureMintza: social network for people with psicological disabilities
Starting point

Development of the Gipuzkoa Museums website

Public administration

Image of the homepage of Museums of Gipuzkoa
Starting point

The General Director of Culture in Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa performed in Gipuzkoa museum map for all the amenities of the area and the needs they had. They have 67 installations of very different types and the responsibles didn't have any relationship among them to launch actions together. In addition, the Gipuzkoa citizens did not visited our museums. To solve both problems its objectives were to bring the museum to offer Gipuzkoa so they could plan visits tailored to their interests and on the other hand create a private space for museum officials to interact and share information.

Solution

This new website includes everything the museums of Gipuzkoa have to offer and allows users to personalize their searches according to their needs, consult the activities agenda, make comments, read news and plan their visit. As far as the people in charge of the museums are concerned, they have a private area which makes for smooth coordination among the various centres where news, documentation and the knowledge required for improving their activity may be shared. it is a basic tool aimed at improving management, the socialization of our museums and encouraging participation and work on the web.

The website makes it possible for each museum to update the contents and, according to Lurdes Azpiazu, "it is aimed at the community of museums, professionals of the web and the users and its main objectives are to create a network that specialises in the museum world, made up of professionals from the sector which generates its own content, facilitate a space for interaction among professionals from the sector, satisfy common interests through different services and boost cooperation among the museums themselves with a view to possible projects for collaboration.
