At Lotura, we believe in the importance of advising companies and public bodies on their Internet strategy. GureMintza: social network for people with psicological disabilities

La Facultad de Informática de la UPV-EHU buscaba un proyecto de donde extraer datos para estudiar el uso que usuarios con discapacidad intelectual hacía de las redes sociales. Entraron en contacto con GITEK, área para la innovación y el desarrollo socio-tecnológico del Grupo Gureak, que utiliza las nuevas tecnologías en procesos productivo, formativos y de comunicación orientados a la integración socio&laboral de sus trabajadores. Entre ambos concluyeron que la mayoría de las aplicaciones existentes en el mercado no son accesibles para las personas con discapacidad intelectual y que era necesaria la creación de una red social hecha a medida. Lotura fue elegida para el desarrollo tecnológico de la plataforma.

Con la puesta en marcha de la red social 2000 trabajadores con discapacidad cognitiva de la División Industrial del Grupo Gureak podrían utilizarla contribuyendo en su formación digital, socialización y autonomía.

Eventosjuridicos was created in 2011 with the aim of providing information on all law-related events taking place in Spain. The site featured a calendar of events, arranged by geographical location, an event finder, an archive of past events, and a blog. Eventosjuridicos.es did not only receive events from Spain; it also attracted users from a number of South American countries.

Encouraged by the success of the platform and responding to requests by users, the team decided to design a new website which compiled information about all events taking place and offered value-adding services, enabling the users themselves to publish and suggest events and sign up for alerts.They decided to offer an end-to-end event management service, handling everything from registration, event documentation (videos, documents, and audio content) and online dissemination.They also provided an advertising space in order to promote legal events and offer event-management services.

Solution

When the project was first launched, users could register using Facebook, Twitter, G+ and via the login screen on the website itself. Eventosjuridicos.com enables users to receive personalised alerts, send suggestions and publish events. In addition, the management team at Eventosjuridicos.com runs a blog, providing information and summaries regarding the most important events.

Events are stored in the archives. All event documentation can be published here:videos, photos, and presentations. In this new version, the format has been redesigned to take accessibility guidelines and responsive design into consideration. As a result, the interface is compatible with all types of screens and mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, smartphones, etc.).

In order to cover events published in other countries, Eventosjuridicos.com has been launched. This website contains a world map of events, allowing the user to select whichever country they like. Eventosjuridicos currently covers Spain, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, the United States, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Eventosjuridicos.com it is widely followed on social networks and can be found on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin. It has become a benchmark in the sector.

Eventosjuridicos.com will offer an end-to-end event management service, handling everything from registration, event documentation (videos, documents, and audio content) and online promotion. In addition, event attendees can obtain a personalised schedule, in which they can store documentation, events they have attended, favourites, etc.

IZARO MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY is a publishing group specialising in technical publications since 1974. It currently publishes three written publications: IMHE (Information about Manufacturing Technologies with Metals), PLAST´21 (Information about Production Processes with Plastics) and QUALITAS HODIE (Information about tools, models and experiences for improving management). Izaro has collaborators in technology centers and universities that send their content throught e-mail. In addition, companies also provide content of their products. On the other hand Izaro wanted to launch a platform to offer audiovisual content to subscribers and additional reports that in its monthly print magazine could not be included.

IZARO MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY required to take the off line business to a new digital environment. It was necessary to know the possibilities of Internet and offer their subscribers and to improve content management to improve the publication.

Solution

The contributors have a private area where submit their articles and reports for publication in the print magazine and online. The administrator of Izaro in a single site can edit and inform the state of its contents.

Online shop for the sale of digital and written subscriptions, downloading of digital books, online reading of report and books, online courses, attendance at webinars.
